This guide will show you how to make a mailbox for all of the Valentines that you are sure to recevie.

Before you begin, you will need:

1. A small box
2. Masking Tape
3. Plastic (Scotch) tape
4. An Exacto knife
5. A pair of scissors
6. Wrapping paper
7. Sickers, colored construction paper, etc.

1. Locate a box that you have or will be recycling.
2. Good boxes include cereal boxes, shoe boxes, or small shipping boxes.
3. If you don't have a box, visit the Dairy department of your local grocery store and ask for a small box. They usually have a variety of small boxes.

1. Cut long pieces of masking tape the same length as each edge of the box.
2. Place the center of the tape on the middle of the edge.
3. Fold the tape down.
4. Trim the edges.

1. Locate an attractive scrap of wrapping paper.
2. Birthday wrapping paper, Christmas wrapping paper or even the cartoon section of your local newspaper each work well.

1. Make sure to ask for the help of an adult for this step.
2. Use an "exacto knife" to cut a hole in the top of the box.
3. The thin side of the box works best so that valentines can fall in easily.
4. Use clear tape to seal the edges of the paper to the box.

Some decorating ideas:

1. Use stickers to make your box shine
2. Use glitter glue to write special messages on the wrapping paper
3. Cut shapes such as hearts and stars out of construction paper and attach with paper glue
