Step 1: Dig Through the Closets and Drawers
If you're going to have to go last minute, you'll likely not have much time to go out shopping, so you're going to have to make do with what you have around the house. Think creatively here, and see what you might have in your closet that you don't mind tearing up and using for a costume.Anything from old hats, jackets, prom dresses or your old football uniform from high school can be used to make a great Halloween costume. So dig through the closets and drawers and find things you might have discarded anyway.
Dead Prom Queen / King Rip up that old prom dress or tuxedo or suit, pour a little fake Halloween blood on in, give yourself a few fake bruises and gashes, and you're ready for a gory night on the town.

Step 2: Old Makeup Works Wonders
Whether it's your own makeup, your wife's or your mom or sister's, you can surely find some old makeup laying in the bottom of makeup kits of dresser drawers and if you're creative, you can use it to make some great facial art for Halloween. Whether it's old black mascara to make yourself look dirty and banged up or bright colors and sparkles, makeup can help turn an ordinary face into something spectacular or spectacularly awful.Stained Glass Window What could be more creative than to wear colorful clothing and go to a costume party as a painted stained glass window? Using black eyeliner, drew geometrical designs on your face, from forehead down the neck to below the collar line.
Next, take old eye shadow, and with the help of a little foundation, color in each of the areas between the eyeliner with a different color. When finished, put a little glitter over the entire face. The final touch: spray the face with hairspray! This will help set the makeup so it doesn't smear, streak or rub off.

Step 3: Bedsheets and Linens
Old bedsheets and linens can make all sorts of Halloween costumes at the last minute, if you're willing to tear them up. Use some creativity and see if you can come up with some interesting Halloween costumes ideas from linen and laundry laying around your house.Ghost and Mummy Simply slip the white sheet over the body, position it and secure it with a belt and then you can cut armholes and eye holes to see through--instant ghost!
For a mummy, dark sheets or lighter colored sheets will work. Rip the sheets into long shreds leaving them jagged on the edges, and then wrap the strips around the body, covering the arms, legs, and torso, and saving the head for last. You can 'dirty' the sheets by using foundation powder and brushing old wands of mascara over them to make them appear soiled.
