Step 2: Fruit Tart Recipe

To prepare your fruit tart, begin by mixing the ingredients for the dough. Then you will add the fruit and bake the tart.

  1. Preheat your oven to 450 degrees.
  2. Mix the flour, salt, shortening, and water together in a large mixing bowl using a wooden spoon or your hands. If you have a food processor, you can also mix the dough directly in the bowl and then pulse it a few times until the dough forms a ball.
  3. When the mixture is crumbly, wrap it in plastic and place it in the refrigerator for one hour.
