- Sugar the glass rim
- Add 1 ounce Malibu Rum to basic recipe
- Shake vodka and rum with crushed ice in tin shaker, pour into glass, add lemonade, then pour Blue Curacao down side of glass for effect
- Replace the lemonade with 7 up or bar mix, if desired (choice will modify the color of the drink from crystal blue to shades of blue green)

- 6 oz. pineapple juice
- 1 - 2 oz. sweet and sour mix
Variation 2
- 1 oz. Blue Curacao
- 1 oz. coconut rum
- 1 oz. peach schnapps
- 1 oz. light rum
- 1 oz. cherry liqueur
- 2 oz. pineapple juice
Variation 3
- 1/4 cup passion fruit juice or nectar
- 1 1/2 oz. white, gold, or coconut-flavored rum
- 1 oz. Thai-style coconut milk
- 1 oz. Blue Curacao
- 1 Tbsp fresh lime juice
- 2 tsp superfine sugar
- Wedge of lime, squeezed into drink
- An orchid, as garnish
