Bloody Mary Tips & Tricks
- A few of the most popular variations on the Bloody Mary recipe include the "Bloody Caesar" (Clamato or clam juice instead of tomato juice) and the "Bloody Maria" (with tequila instead of vodka)
- A non-alcoholic version of the Bloody Mary (also known as a "Virgin Mary") can be made by simply eliminating the vodka from the above recipe and substituting more tomato juice.
- Bloody Marys are deceptively delicious (in that it's hard to tell you're drinking alcohol) - so always be careful not to drink too many.
- Traditionally, Bloody Marys aren't supposed to be served after 6pm - but we won't tell anyone if you have one later!
- Substituting vegetable juice for the tomato juice can provide more depth of flavor to your Bloody Mary.
- Dip the rim of the glass in water to moisten, then in freshly ground pepper.
