Those born in the sign of Pisces the Fish are sensitive and intuitive. They’re humane, sometimes to the point of self sacrifice. Many Pisceans are artists and dreamers, creative and sensual souls.

On the flip side, an out-of-balance Piscean may become overly emotional and irrational under stress. Pisces natives may appear weak and unfocused, especially to those who don’t know them well.

Ruled by Neptune, Pisces is the twelfth sign in the astrological calendar. Pisceans are naturally in tune with their emotions and may be idealists. The Fish is a unique individual with an adaptable and flexible personality, an attractive friend for nearly all types of people. Thanks to their diplomatic personalities, Pisceans often find themselves mediating the conflicts of others. In fact, their sympathetic natures may also regularly draw them to ease the pain of friends, lovers and family members. A Pisces has strong ties to family and can be loyal to a fault. Pisceans generally maintain at least one lifelong friendship, and may even count family members among her closest friends.

The Pisces lover is sensitive and romantic, but also tends to prefer fantasy fairy tale relationships to those in their real lives. A Pisces in love will sacrifice himself for his mate, but may also live in constant fear that she will leave him and his life will be horribly changed.

As a water sign, Pisces is balanced out best by those born under earth signs, including Capricorn, Taurus and Virgo. It makes sense, elementally, because earth and water are codependent—each needs the other. Pisces and Taurus: An ideal match, Pisces and Taurus share a strong sense of empathy, relaxed personality and positive outlook.

Pisces and Gemini: Both Pisces and Gemini are flexible in their ideas and opinions. Each is usually willing to make adjustments. Gemini's analytical nature might annoy Pisces.
