Step 1: Create a Twitter Account

To create a Twitter account, you'll need to sign up. Visit Twitter's official website and look for a button that asks you to "Give It a Try." Once you have a Twitter name, you'll need to choose a password. Provide your email address and check the box that says you agree to Twitter's terms of service (read the agreement before checking). Step 2: Following Twitter Accounts

On the left-hand side of the screen, you'll see a list of topics, including Books and Authors, Fashion and Entertainment. Click any of these topics that interest you. Step 3: Find Friends

If you know you have friends on Twitter that you'd like to follow, you might be able to find these friends on Twitter by using the "Find Friends" option. Twitter will generate a list of contacts found in your email address book. Step 4: Add Profile Information

You might choose to add information to your Twitter profile. Updating your profile on Twitter allows you to add a profile picture. You can also provide your real name, location and a website address to your Twitter profile.
