Inlinking on Mahalo is a very important part of learning to use Mahalo. It is something you will need to master if you are making and managing pages. Inlinking on Mahalo is using double brackets around your text in order to link it to another Mahalo page.
Why We Inlink on Mahalo
Inlinking is important because:
- It gives your readers more Mahalo resources for more information on a topic they might be interested in.
- Inlinking to another Mahalo page rather than outlinking to a page outside Mahalo keeps readers on Mahalo. The more time they spend on Mahalo, the more of a trusted resource Mahalo will become.
How To Inlink on Mahalo
Inlinking is easy. All you need to do is put double brackets around your text. Here is an example:

What Not To Inlink on Mahalo
Do not inlink the same term more than once. Only inlink a term the first time you use it on the page.
Do not inlink symbols such as @ % $ #
The symbol & can be inlinked on topic pages, if it is in the title, but it cannot be inlinked in Mahalo Answers.
Advanced Inlinking
At times, you may want to actually link to a page but you want the text to show up a bit differently because it doesn't fit the sentence. Here is an example of how to do just that:
