    • Every year, thousands of music fans flock to the Southern California desert for the three-day music and arts festival known simply as Coachella. With hundreds of top-flight musicians on multiple stages, it's no wonder that concert goers are willing to brave the heat (often over 100 degrees), the crowds (upwards of 100,000) and the campgrounds to see their favorite artists perform live. If you're interested in attending the 2008 edition of the festival (April 25th - 27th), you'll need to find and purchase yourself some tickets. Here is some information to help you get passes for this year's event.

    • Tickets for this year's festival go on sale at 10am (PST) on January 25th, 2008, at which time they can be purchased online, by phone, or at one of Ticketmaster's retail outlets.

  • How to Buy Tickets

    • Here are some of the ways that you can go about getting tickets to this year's Coachella music festival (Note: None of these options will work until tickets officially go on sale on January 25th, 2008):

  • Which Days?

    • The first thing that you will need to decide on before purchasing tickets is which days of the event you want to attend.
      • If you are traveling to Coachella from a long ways away (and are planning on making a weekend of it), then you will probably want to purchase the three day pass.
      • If, on the other hand, you don't want (or can't afford) to attend all three days, then you will need to buy individual day tickets for the days you want. If this is the case, then the next thing you will need to decide on is which day(s) you want to attend.
      • Barring any scheduling conflicts, your choice of which day(s) to attend will probably come down to which has the most bands that you want to see. See the Official Lineup below to decide for yourself.

    1. By Phone: Find the phone number of a Ticketmaster outlet in your area and purchase over the phone.
    2. Ticket Retailer: Find the address of a Ticketmaster outlet in your area and purchase tickets directly.
    3. Online: Go online to Ticketmaster's Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival page and purchase your tickets online.

  • Other Methods

    • At the Venue: If tickets are still available on the day of the show, you can always purchase them directly from the box office at the venue, although you may have to wait in a long line to get tickets. If your planning on buying tickets at the box office, be sure to give yourself at least an hour of extra time before the show.
    • Ticket Brokers: While concert ticket brokers are not always the best way to find tickets, in some circumstances they are the only way. Make sure that you verify the reputability of any ticket broker before you purchase tickets. Here are a few:
    • Craigslist: When all else fails, there's always Craigslist. Although purchasing tickets from Craigslist can be a tricky proposition, it can often be a good way to find tickets to shows that are already sold out. Also, you may luck out and find someone who can't go to the show (for whatever reason) and are selling their tickets at below face value. While you shouldn't rely on this option, it is there if you need it.
