Step 1: Install Media Manager
- Media Manager can be found on the CD that comes with the BlackBerry.
- You can also download the program from BlackBerry.com.

Step 2: Prepare to Transfer Files

- Install a MicroSD in your BlackBerry. This is where the music files will be stored.
- Connect to your PC with the USB cable that is included with your BlackBerry.
- Launch Media Manager. A split screen will appear: The upper half is devoted to your desktop; the bottom half is to help you manage files on your BlackBerry.

Step 3: Locate Music to Transfer
- Choose the appropriate folder, or
- Choose Import Digital Media and then select Import Audio (to transfer music from a CD in your computer)
- Selected music files will show up on the right of your computer screen. If you see
- A Play icon, you will be able to use the file on your BlackBerry
- A Lock icon means you will not be able to play those files on your device

Step 4: Transfer Music
- Click the phone icon in the lower half of the screen
- Choose the plus sign, so that you can view BlackBerry's available folders.
- Select BlackBerry Media Card
- Highlight the folder you want to transfer music to.
- In the upper half of the screen, highlight all the music you want to transfer (Hold down the Control key to select multiple files.)
- In the center of the screen, select Copy Down. This will bring up a screen where you can select file compression
- If you want to compress the files, select Convert for Optimal Playback
- If not, select Copy with No Conversion.
- Once all the music has been transferred, disconnect your BlackBerry.
- You can also transfer music to your Micro SD using a Micro SD adapter.
- Copy music from your computer onto the Micro SD.
- Manually place the Micro SD into your BlackBerry's holder.
