The Arizona Cardinals, representing the State of Arizona, is the oldest football franchise in the United States. The franchise began in 1898 as the Morgan Athletic Club, then became the Normals, the Racine Cardinals, the Chicago Cardinals, the St. Louis Cardinals, the Phoenix Cardinals, and now the Arizona Cardinals. The Cardinals play their home games in the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona and have done so since 2006. The Stadium was designed with the Arizona desert in mind. It has a retractable roof and field which allows it to offer other events other than football. The roll out field is moved outside the stadium when not in use to allow the grass to get the necessary sunlight, as well as to keep humidity levels down in the stadium. The barrel cactus shaped dome has enough air conditioning units to keep 2300 homes cooled. As a Cardinal fan, of course you would like to spend football season in this one-of-a-kind stadium cheering on your favorite team!http://www.universityofphoenixstadium.com/
