Before you begin shooting the little red birds at the structure, take a step back and examine the layout of the level. This will help you detect weak points in the structure.

For level 1-5, the structure is rather large and contains a good number of pigs, both big and small. To put it simply, the structure is a series of archways. It starts with a bottom wooden archway with big green pigs inside, followed by another wooden archway on top of that with three little pigs inside, which followed by a small glass archway on top with a boulder inside. Stone blocks protect both wooden archways. On the edges of the structure, there are slanted stone blocks on either side. On the farthest left of the level, there is a triangular mound of dirt.

There are two techniques to this level, but both end up giving you three stars. The techniques are very similar, but can give you different results. The red birds are good for knocking down one board per shot, but the physics and domino effect can do wonders.

The first way of completing this level is shooting the bird at the wooden board which acts as the top of the first wooden archway. This will cause the wooden boards to fall and kill the big pigs underneath as well as forcing the little pigs to fall and die too. This will complete the level and earn you three stars.

The second technique of completing the level is almost exactly the same as the first technique. You need to aim for the wooden board acting as the top of the first wooden archway. What really makes the two techniques differ is how exact you hit that wooden board. This second way will instead cause the boulder to fall from the top and kill the little pigs and then the big pigs in succession. Congratulations--you've just completed level 1-5 and earned three shiny gold stars!
