Step 1: Examine the Layout

The first thing you need to do is examine the layout of the level. Remember that physics is a significant part of the game--use it to your advantage. For level 1-4, the structure the pig is in looks like this: the most interior part (which the pig is directly under) is a stone archway. Above the archway are some wooden planks protecting the archway. Finally, a tall glass archway protects the rest of the structure below. So for this level, you will need to penetrate through three kinds of material to kill the pig.

Step 2: Knocking Down the Structure in Two Shots

There are two ways of getting three stars in this level: with two shots or with one. It may seem like an easy choice, but the one shot way is much trickier. The two shot choice gives you a little leeway.

If you want to go with the two shots way, first take a look at the glass archway. You are going to need to hit the upper left part of the glass archway for your first shot. This will cause the bird to fall through and hit and shatter the other parts of the glass archway. Now that you have a clear shot of the stone archway protected by wooden planks, you can shoot it directly at that structure. This will topple the wooden planks and stone archway as well as killing the pig. You will be served with a level completion and three stars.

Step 3: Knocking Down the Structure in One Shot

If you're feeling a bit risky today, try knocking down the structure in one shot. But remember, you can still use a second shot and get your three stars. First, take a look at the glass archway and the structure beneath. Aim for the lower left part of the glass archway and shoot. Hitting that part of the glass archway will cause it to fall and topple the entire structure, killing the pig inside. Congratulations--you have know completed level 1-4 and gained three stars!
