Mahalo cooking expert Miranda Valentine shows viewers her technique for freezing and storing fresh dill.
Freezing Dill
1. Wash your dill, then dry it thoroughly.
2. Lay the dill stalks flat on a plate or baking sheet, making sure they are not touching each other. Once they're frozen, you'll be able to pull out individual stalks.
3. Freeze the plate or sheet for an hour and a half to two hours, depending on the strength of your freezer.
4. Remove the dill stalks, then put them in a plastic bag or other freezer-safe airtight container. Squeeze all of the air out of the bag, then seal it and put it back in the freezer.
Frozen dill will stay good for six months.c
