Arizona Unemployment Rates
Arizona unemployment rates fell from 9.2% to 9.1% from July 2009 to August 2009. Economists attributed the drop to the start of the school year, and warn that this improvement is probably not the beginning of a trend. They state that Arizona's economy is tightly tied to the building industry, and won't recover until housing numbers begin to increase.
