Introduction

  • The Fat Smash Diet was created by Ian K. Smith for VH1's Celebrity Fit Club. The Fat Smash Diet promises to help dieters develop a new approach to life by focusing on choosing nutritious foods and getting plenty of exercise.

Step 1: The Plan

  • The Fat Smash Diet is a 90-day plan broken down into four phases. You will be required to eat four to five small meals per day. Portion sizes are carefully controlled. You are encouraged to exercise.

Step 2: Phase One

  • Phase one is a nine-day detox diet meant to crush cravings and cleanse your body.
  1. Eat raw, steamed or grilled food. Your menu will include:
    1. Unlimited:
      1. Fruit.
      2. Vegetables.
      3. Chickpeas.
      4. Lentils.
      5. Tofu.
      6. Beans.
    2. Limited:
      1. Brown rice.
      2. Low-fat or fat-free milk.
      3. Oatmeal.
      4. Low-fat yogurt.
      5. Olive oil.
        • One to two teaspoons of olive oil per day.
      6. Egg whites.
      7. Herbal tea.
  2. Drink plenty of water.

Step 3: Phase Two

  • Phase two is three weeks long and introduces more foods to your diet. Additional foods include:
  1. Lean meats.
  2. Seafood.
  3. Cheese.
  4. Whole eggs.
  5. Avocado.
  6. Whole-grain cereals.
  7. Sugar.
  8. Butter.
  9. Fat-free mayo.
  10. Coffee.
  11. Fruit juice.
  12. Diet soda.
  13. Lemonade.
  14. Club soda.

Step 5: Phase Four

  • Phase four lasts for the rest of your diet and is meant to be continued for the rest of your life.
  1. Remember not to skip meals.
  2. Watch your portion sizes.
  3. Continue eating four to five times a day.
  4. Exercise regularly, including:
    1. Cardio.
    2. Strength training.
  5. You can now eat:
    1. Wine.
    2. Beer.
    3. Pizza.
    4. Potatoes.

Step 4: Phase Three

  • Phase three is four weeks long and expands on the first two phases by adding food choices and increasing portion sizes. Foods added:
  1. Pasta.
  2. Bread.
  3. Certain sweets.
