Mahalo professional hair stylist Christine Grajeda, from Studio DNA, shows you how to create a renaissance bun.
Step 1: Create Ponytail
A renaissance bun is a bun with a braid wrapped around the top.
- Start by creating a high ponytail beneath the crown.
Leave some hair out for the braid. Section out a triangle of hair on top. 
Smooth down your hair on top using a bristle brush. Place elastic band over hair to form a ponytail. 
Split ponytail into two parts. Back comb the two sections.
Step 2: Create Bun
Wrap hair around ponytail to create a bun. 
Use bobby pins to keep bun in place.
Step 3: Create Braid
Lift up your remaining hair in the back and apply hair spray. 
Separate hair into three sections and braid. 
Once you have your braid done, wrap it around the bun. Hold braid in place using a bobby pin.
