How to Divide Decimals in the Dividend
When you have a decimal in the dividend of your equation, you can solve the problem as you would normally carry out long division. However, it is important to remember to place the decimal in the correct place. If the decimal is misplaced, the answer will be wrong.
For example, if you have this equation:
The first step is to move the decimal straight up and place it outside the division sign.
