Step 1: Click Settings
Go to the Twitter website. You'll want to do this on a regular computer rather than from an app or on a mobile browser.
Login to your Twitter account.
Click Settings in the top right corner of your screen.
You are now ready to start making changes.
Step 2: Change Your Profile Image
- Change the image that appears next to your name.
- Click the Picture tab.
- Click Browse.
- Upload the photo of your choice.
- Maximum size: 700k.
- File type: JPG, GIF and PNG.
- Nudity is not allowed.
- Choose a non-copyrighted image, or better yet, an image of yourself.
Step 3: Change the Design
- Personalize what other people will see by changing the background and color scheme of the standard design.
- Click on the Design tab.
- Choose a theme.
- Don't like the background choices?
- Click Change background image.
- Click Browse.
- Upload a photo of your choice.
- Maximum image size: 800K.
- File types: GIF, JPG, and PNG.
- You may want to think about designing your own graphics.
- Decide if you want a tile background.
- Don't like the design colors?
- Select Change design colors.
- Change the color of the:
- Background.
- Text.
- Links.
- Sidebar.
- Sidebar border.
- Click save changes.
