In this video, Mahalo software expert Dallas Morgan demonstrates how to customize the toolbar for your Pages project in iWork.
Customizing the Toolbar
You can adjust the buttons displayed in your Pages toolbar to reflect the features that you use the most. This can be helpful for quickly accessing editing tools that are normally found under the top menu bar.
1. In your Pages window, open up a document. 2. Go to View --> Customize Toolbar.
3. Pages will display icons of all the available features to place in the toolbar. 4. You can remove unwanted features from the toolbar by clicking and dragging them off. They are still accessible through the top menu bar.
5. Add features by clicking and dragging them from the grid onto the toolbar.
6. Separate and organize the features by inserting a Space icon between them.
7. You can adjust the toolbar to show only the icon, only the text, or both the icon and text by selecting from the Show menu at the bottom. The Use Small Size box will make the icons or text smaller.
8. To return to the default settings, drag the bottom row of icons up to the toolbar.
9. When you're finished, click Done.
