LED Notifications on an Android Phone
Your Android phone allows you to control when the LED notification light is in effect. In addition to switching it on or off, you can install an application for additional control over the notification settings.
The LED can be helpful when you want to check for notifications without turning the entire screen on. This can save battery life as well as be useful in places like a dark movie theater.
Customizing Your LED
To control the LED notification using the Android platform 2.3 on a Motorola Atrix:
1. First open the Menu of your phone. 2. Select Settings.
3. Select Display.
4. Find Notification LED. Tap on the box to turn the feature on or off. LED Notification Application
To further configure the notifications on your phone, you can download the Light Flow application from the Android Market.
This application will allow you to select which events the LED will notify about, such as SMS messages or emails. You can also adjust the light color of each kind of notification.
