• If you plan to include audio of your voice, are you clear on what you will say?

• Where do you plan to show the final production, and what are their format and size requirements?

• Settings:

1. Go to the main menu and pick Options -> Video Options.
2. Search through the Compressor pull down for DivX and select it.
3. Click the Configure button and change bitrate to 256. Save and go back to the video window.
4. Uncheck the Auto Adjust checkbox.
5. Set key frames every 120 frames.
6. Capture frames every 33 milliseconds.
7. Playback rate 30 frames/second.

• Settings:

1. Go to the main menu and pick Options -> Audio Options for Microphone.
2. Click Choose Compressed Format and pick Lame MP3 or PCM (if you opted not to download the other compressor).
3. Make sure that Record Audio From Microphone is checked in the Options menu.

• Set the Regions:
• To pick what area you want to capture, you need to go to the Region menu.
• Fullscreen: Use this one if you want to capture everything on your screen.
• Window: Click this option and only the active window on screen is recorded.
• Fixed Region: Choose fixed region when you want to control the size of the captured area by inputting your own width and height.

• Recording:
• To change between .avi and .swf, click the round toggle button on the interface with "SWF" written on it.
• Then, click the red circle to record.
• Once you are finished recording, click the blue square to stop it.
