- 4 salmon steaks, 1-inch thick
- Salt and pepper, season to taste
- Cooking oil
- Try vegetable oil, canola oil, olive oil or cooking spray.
Grilling the Salmon Steaks
- Now it's time to grill the steaks.
- Preheat the grill.
- Brush grill grates with oil.
- Remove the pin bones (small, thin bones).
- Leave the skin on the fish.
- Coat both sides of the salmon with salt and pepper.
- Drizzle each side with oil and brush to coat evenly.
- Place on the grill.
- Grill for five to nine minutes per side on medium heat.
- Turn with tongs.
- Fish should flake easily when done.
