Step 1: How to Grill Chicken Breast

- Stockpot with enough water to cover the chicken
- Split chicken breasts
- Salt and pepper, or barbecue seasoning of your choice
- 2-4 tablespoons of barbecue sauce per breast
- Long handled brush
- Tongs
- Grill
How to Make Grilled Chicken
- Bring the water in the stock pot to a boil.
- Add chicken and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Remove chicken and allow to cool until it's cool enough to handle.
- Season chicken with salt and pepper or barbecue seasoning, making sure to work the seasoning under the skin.
- Preheat your grill.
- Place chicken on hot grill, bone side down, and cook for five minutes.
- Flip chicken with tongs, and cook for another five minutes.
- Coat bone side of chicken with barbecue sauce, using a brush, and turn.
- Cook for five minutes, then coat skin side with barbecue sauce and turn.
- Cook another five minutes and check for doneness.
- If not done, continue flipping and cooking for two-to-three minutes per side, basting with additional sauce if desired.
Step 2: How to Bake Chicken Breast
Baked chicken is one of the simplest dishes to prepare. You can skip the herb butter, if you like, but taking the time to insert it under the skin will help guarantee moist and flavorful chicken.
What You Need for Baked Chicken
- Split chicken breasts
- 1 tablespoon of herb butter for each breast, at room temperature
- Salt and pepper and/or poultry seasoning
How to Make Baked Chicken
- Preheat oven to 375 F.
- Take a tablespoon of herb butter and insert it under the skin of each breast. You may need to insert your fingers to create a pocket in between the skin and the meat. Be careful not to tear the skin.
- Place the breasts bone side down on a rimmed cookie sheet or roasting pan.
- The chicken will take 45 to 60 minutes to bake, depending on how thick the breasts are. Begin checking for doneness at 45 minutes, as you don't want he chicken to overcook and dry out.
Step 3: How to Cook Chicken Breast in the Crockpot
Remove the skin before placing chicken in the crockpot , if desired, to reduce the fat.

- 1/4 cup sauce per breast
How to Make Crockpot Chicken
- Remove skin, if desired.
- Place chicken breasts bone side down in crockpot.
- Spread each breast with desired sauce
- Cook for 4 hours on high, or 8 hours on low.
You can use almost any sauce you'd like to cook chicken in the crockpot.- If you use salsa, top with shredded cheddar cheese 30 minutes before serving.
- Use tomato sauce and top with shredded mozzarella 30 minutes before serving.
- Add 10 ounces sliced mushrooms to the pot with the chicken, and use gravy or condensed soup for the sauce.
- Add 1 cup chopped onion with the chicken, and use bottled Italian dressing for the sauce. Add 1 pint of cherry tomatoes 30 minutes before serving.
