What You'll Need
Ingredients
- 1 bag of frozen or fresh berries
- 1 medium apple, thinly sliced
- 2 tbsp of cornstarch
- 1/2 tsp of coriander
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 cup of brown sugar
- 1 pie crust
- 1 tbsp of lemon juice
- Large mixing bowl
- Wooden spoon
- Pie tin
Step 1: Make the Filling
- Make sure your oven is preheated to 350° F (177° C) before starting.
- Combine all of your dry ingredients into a large bowl and stir all the ingredients together.
- Place your sliced apples and mixed berries into the bowl.
- Coat the ingredients with lemon juice. Stir until all your fruit is coated with your dry ingredients and lemon juice.
- After mixing thoroughly, pour your fruit mixture into your pie crust.
Step 2: Make the Topping
- Combine instant oats, brown sugar, flour and cold butter in a mixing bowl and stir.
- Evenly place the streusel pieces over the top of your pie. While doing this, you can also rearrange the fruit evenly inside the pie crust.
- Place your pie into your oven and bake for about 45 minutes or until the fruit mixture is bubbling and the crust is golden brown.
- Place the pie on a metal rack and allow it to cool before serving.
