How to Clean with Vinegar

Step 1: Cleaning with Vinegar in the Kitchen

  1. Remove berry stains from your hands by washing them with vinegar.

Step 2: Cleaning with Vinegar in the Bathroom

  3. Remove lime buildup from bathroom fixtures, scrub with a paste made of 1 part salt to 2 parts vinegar.
  4. Instead of buying liquid scouring cleansers, make your own by mixing 1/4 cup of baking soda, 1 teaspoon of dish soap, and enough white vinegar to produce a paste of the desired consistency.
  5. If lime is clogging your faucet, vinegar can help. Tie a plastic bag containing 1/2 to 1/3 cup of white distilled vinegar around the head of the faucet and leave it over night to dissolve the deposits.

Step 3: Cleaning with Vinegar in the Laundry

  1. Instead of paying extra for HE detergent, add 1/4 cup white vinegar with your regular detergent is a front loading washer to reduce the foaming of the regular detergent.
