Mahalo's cooking expert Scott Aaronson helps you evaluate what to look for in a food processor.
What to Consider
How much food will you need to process? Consider buying a larger food processor so that you can chop, slice or puree more vegetables at once.
- How often will you use it? If you're going to use your food processor on a daily basis, it's a good idea to invest in a higher quality model that will last longer and work better.
- What kind of food will you process? Although a nine-cup food processor has more space, it cannot handle large quantities of liquids. Look for a processor that meets your recipe needs.
- What attachments do you need? Food processors come with a variety of blades and attachments to assist in everything from shredding cheese to chopping garlic.
