MySpace is a free social networking site that allows you to exchange messages with friends, post videos and play a variety of games. It also allows you to alter the look of the MySpace experience by changing the appearance of your screen. This guide will show you how to change your MySpace cursor.

Introduction
- The MySpace website allows its members to make a number of visual changes, from profile themes to layouts and video posts. The site also gives many options for altering your mouse cursor while you're logged in. Free MySpace cursors can be found on many websites, and adding a new one is a quick and easy process. One note: Cursor changes can't be viewed if you're using Firefox, so this guide applies only to Internet Explorer users. If you're interested in how it works, read on.
Step 1: Access Your Profile Settings
- The following steps will get you to the Profile Settings page:
- Log into MySpace using your User ID and Password.
- On the top left side of the page is a box that reads "Profile." Mouse over it. A drop-down box reading "Edit Profile" is the second option listed. Click on it.
- The next page gives you the option to change several aspects of your profile, from "About Me" to "Networking." Stay on this page.
Step 2: Search for a Cursor
- Keep your MySpace page open and open a new Internet window. This can be accomplished by going to your Internet Explorer toolbar and selecting "New Window" from either the File or Page drop-down menu.
- Using the new Internet window, go to a search engine and type in the keywords "MySpace Cursors." This will result in a large list of websites that offer free cursors. Among the more popular sites are MySpaceCursor.net and FreeCodeSource.com
Step 3: Select a Cursor
- You will want to take a few minutes to review the cursors and find the one that's right for you. There are thousands upon thousands of cursors available online, which will give you plenty of opportunities to get creative and find the perfect match.
Step 4: Enter the Cursor Code
- Each cursor has a unique code that will be used to program the cursor into MySpace. Once you've found a good cursor, you will finalize the process by following the following steps:
- Copy the cursor code by highlighting it with your mouse and pressing the Control and C keys simultaneously.
- Return to your MySpace "Edit Profile" page.
- From here, you can paste the cursor code in any of the available boxes in the "About Me" or "Interests" sections. For example, you could paste it into the "Heroes" box under "Interests," or into the "Who I'd Like to Meet" box on the "About Me" page. Pasting the code can be accomplished by pressing Control and P keys simultaneously.
- Click "Save Changes."
- Refresh your MySpace page and the new cursor should appear. It will remain active when you're logged into MySpace, unless you change or delete the cursor code.
Conclusion
- Customized cursors are a great way to spice up your MySpace page. And since most of them are free, you can change them as often you want. Unfortunately, Firefox users won't be able to use the application, but Internet Explorer users will find it to be a wonderful personalization device. Have fun!
