Step 1: Take Lens Off
The process of switching lenses is pretty simple, but it is very delicate and requires wariness. Before you can change the lens on your camera, you must, of course, take the original lens off.
There is most always a release on your camera. Press it down and twist the lens off counter-clockwise. It should come right off without any trouble. Remember that you don't want to leave the internal parts of your camera exposed for too long because dust could settle inside.
Step 2: Put New Lens On
Now that you've gotten the old lens off, it's time to put the new lens on. Remember not to expose the internal parts of your camera for too long because you don't want dust getting into the camera.
Have the new lens steady in your hand. There is usually a dot on the lens that corresponds with a dot on the camera that will help guide it in. It should fit easily as you twist it onto the camera clockwise. The lens will lock in and you will be good to go.
Step 3 (Optional): Clean Out Dust
In the process of switching lenses, dust sometimes can get into the camera which can make your shots unclear. Cleaning out dust from your camera is an easy process, but you just need to be careful you don't scratch the lens. If you think you got dust in your camera, take out the air plunger-type object (it also looks like a miniature turkey baster) that normally comes with a camera kit. Blow some air into the camera, using the air plunger, and flush out any dust that found itself in your camera.
