Many of the livestock rewards will come in the form of a baby and it becomes your job to raise the animal to maturity. The livestock that are given as rewards from quests are a yellow chicken, a common sheep and a white cow. These animals can also be purchased from the Market in the village. Livestock can not be gifted, but it can be stored until you are ready to commit to raising them to maturity.

Lets start by looking at the steps which will provide the processes involved in having healthy livestock.

Step 1: Meeting your Baby Livestock

Take note of the buildings in the village. Inside the buildings are the villagers that are willing to provide you with quests. Once you have completed these quests, you may be rewarded with a live animal that you need to care for. Run the white hand icon to over the baby animal once you take it out of storage to learn information about the animal.http://www.lightchan.com/2009/08/03/country-story-tips/#livestock

The first piece of information will show you that your animal needs food. The chicks will eat chicken wheat and the calf and the lamb both eat grass. Make sure you have some on hand so that you can get your livestock off to a good start. Chicken wheat can be purchased at level 8, but grass can not be purchased until level 20. You are able to trade with other players for the grass in order to raise the cow and sheep. The livestock will not start growing until they have been fed for the first time. If you have no food on hand your pet will not die, it will simply not grow until it has been fed. Feed the baby animals until the mood goes from sad to great then it is time to show the babies some love.

Step 2 Feeding and Care of the Livestock

Use the white glove icon to determine the hunger level of the livestock and the mood of the animals. Once you have fed your baby animal you will want to give the baby chick, lamb and calf some love. Keeping the baby happy will speed its maturity level. Click the red heart next to the chick to take it from sad to happy. There is not a maximum number of how many times you can click the red heart. Instead of clicking the heart for the lamb and the calf, you will use the brush icon to brush them as often as possible. This is how you show the lamb and calf love. Watch the information next to the white glove so that you will know when the baby animal becomes happy. This will start the maturing process. Once the animals are well fed, well brushed and loved, the clock will move from slow growing to an actual timer. The maturity process takes 72 hours and at the end of the three days you will have fully grown livestock that will begin to produce milk, eggs and wool for you to sell. Continue to keep the livestock happy and well fed during this three day period.

Step 3: Tending Your Mature Livestock

You have now raised baby animals to maturity and they are at the point that they are able to produce a product that you can sell. The white glove icon changes the information that it is providing. The timer that was previously displaying how long until maturity, is now showing how long there is until there will be a product that we can use or sell.

Only three crops are ready for pick up at any given time. Once you have three bales of wool, the sheep will stop producing until they have been gathered and placed into your inventory.

There are several varieties of sheep hens and cows. Each type of animal gives a different product and that product sells at a different price at the market. There are two different hens that will each provide a different types of eggs. There are two types of cows, and each one will provide a different type of milk. There are three types of sheep and each will provide a different variety of wool. Each variety of animal costs a different amount at the market to purchase and you will receive a different amount at the market for the item they produce.

You may be able to find some Country Story" Cheats to use during this process using Cheat Engine 5.5.
