Everyday pharmacists consult with physicians and patients regarding the effects and interactions of a wide variety of drugs, many of which are very dangerous. They recommend pharmaceutical dosages, while creating drug therapy programs and often providing disease management for those suffering from diabetes and asthma related illnesses. Pharmacists are responsible for ensuring the safe and proper use of the drugs they dispense, and as such, must have an encyclopedic knowledge of thousands of drugs. The job is not easy, and maintains that you obtain a license through the fulfillment of specific requirements, including a PharmD degree.
