How to Become a Contestant on The Singing Bee

Unlike other singing reality shows, The Singing Bee does not test your vocal abilities, but rather your knowledge of the lyrics to numerous country music songs. To find the lucky contestants who know their lyrics, producers accept applications and auditions, as well as holding open casting calls.

In order to become a contestant on The Singing Bee, prospective contestants will need to complete an application, sign release forms, then audition in person at the CBS studios in California or at an open casting call across the country. Those lucky individuals selected by the producers may get a chance on stage to show their lyrical knowledge while they compete for cash.

Step 1: Complete the Application

To let producers know you are interested in the show, you'll want to complete a brief application as the first step of the casting process.

Step 2: Audition in Person
