Debuting in 2008, Silent Library is based on the British series Fist of Zen and a Japanese show Downtown no Gaki no Tsukai ya Arahende!! Six contestants are seated at a table in a library and each given a card. The contestants flip the cards to reveal either a green note telling them they are safe or a yellow card featuring a skull and crossbones. The player with the yellow card is selected to perform a task and often humorous task while the rest of the contestants try to stay as quiet as possible. Challenges range from eating or drinking something disgusting, withstanding mild physical punishment or viewing or listening to something very funny. Prepare for the Challenge
As shown in this promo for Silent Library, contestants are put through dares which range from the comical, odd and sometimes painful. In order to win big, each member, including the person performing the dare, will need to remain silent. Be prepared for all types of dares and make sure you are ready for the challenge of staying quiet in the Silent Library.
Step 1: Know the Rules
As with any television show, producers require prospective contestants to meet a variety of requirements to be considered.
