How to Become a Contestant on Big Brother

If you like to be the center of attention and have no problem being filmed 24/7 for 100 days, then participating in the wildly popular reality show Big Brother may be for you. Unlike other reality programs, uncut and unedited footage is aired during Big Brother After Dark, a three-hour nightly show on Showtime and viewers can monitor the show live on the Internet, in addition to three shows each week on CBS. Introduction

CBS accepts applications and videos for Big Brother throughout the year. The casting process continues in various cities across the country, then in Los Angeles as the producers select the lucky few who will participate in the show.

Step 1: Know The Requirements

Due to the 24/7 filming of contestants on Big Brother, CBS takes extra steps to ensure each contestant is suitable to appear on their network and the reality program.

Step 2: Fill Out the Application

Producers want to know everything about you and those closest to you as your life will be on display for the world to see. To learn if you are right for the show, they require all applicants to complete a 13-page application, asking about your personal life, education and employment history, likes and dislikes and many other things.   1. Download and print the Big Brother contestant application
  2. Read, sign and complete the application entirely
  3. Be honest, expressive and creative
  4. Show the producers you can handle the stresses of the constant filming and how you would be a great addition to the show
  5. Write legibly, completing each question thoroughly
  6. Read and sign the release portion of the form

Step 3: Make a Video

As with most casting for reality shows, the producers want to see what you have to offer in the flesh and require all applicants to submit a short video in addition to the application.
