Introduction
In order to get your special talent or ability recognized by appearing on America's Got Talent, the first people you need to impress are the producers of the show. In order to do that, you need to fill out the questionnaire and send in a video or attend an open casting call. -
Step 1: Know the Requirements
While having a special talent is a main requirement to appear on the show, prospective contestants must also meet additional criteria to be considered. Step 2: Complete the Questionnaire
While a paper application can only say so much about your special talent or skill, it can provide producers a glimpse into your life and personality. Producers require all interested in competing on the show, including each member or a group, to complete and sign a questionnaire.- Visit the NBC official site to download and print the questionnaire
- Complete the entire questionnaire, printing legibly in dark-colored ink
- Answer each question honestly as all responses may be verified
- Be sure each member of your group completes their own questionnaire

- Read and sign the attached release forms
Step 3: Create a Video

Step 4: Open Casting Option
If you'd rather show producers in person your special talent, rather than submitting a video, you may attend one of several open casting calls across the country.- Visit the NBC official site for dates, times and locations for open casting calls
- Pre-register online to attend the specific casting call you wish to attend
- Be sure to arrive early so you are seen in the time allowed
- Bring your photo ID and prepare for a long day
- Perform your best, you may not have another chance to convince producers you belong on the show
