Boston, MA., an American city drenched with history, is home to the Boston Marathon, Boston Teaparty, and The Boston Bruins. The team was established in 1924 and play at TD Banknorth Garden, in Boston. When the Bruins are not on the ice thrilling the fans, the Boston Bruins Ice Girls take over to charm the supporters with their choreographed dance routines and perhaps distributing Bruin paraphenalia between periods or during TV timeouts. If you love the Boston Bruins, and would like to be more involved, maybe you should try out for the Ice Girl Team.
Step 1: Requirements
The auditions for the coming season are held in September.
- You must be at least 18 years old. There is no maximum age limit.
- There are no height or weight restrictions, but you must be in great physical condition.
- You are not required to ice skate, but it's a definite advantage.
- You must have a proper photo ID, (driver's license, or a state issued ID).
- Fill out the questionnaire. Click Here. Download, print, and complete the form and send it and a non-returnable photo to the address provided. Or you can fill out the form and apply on line and include a photo. Questionnaires must be received by the date specified.
- Auditions are by invitation only. There is no registration date open to the public. If you weren't invited, you'll be turned away.
- Those invited will be required to attend an audition on a specific date. The particulars will be included in the invitation.

Step 2: The Audition
If you've been accepted, you'll be judged on a variety of subjects. The clothes that you wear to the audition should be form fitting. You'll need proper dancing sneakers. Your makeup should highlight your facial features and it's preferred that you wear your hair down, (not in ponytails.) The judges will be looking for the presence you project, in that you're confident, poised, energetic, and charismatic. You must be physically toned and robust. You will be required to perform a dance routine for the judges. You will also be interviewed. There will be eliminations after the initial trial. If you make the cut, then you'll be interviewed and evaluated by another panel of experts. They will also be judging your athletic abilities as well as your knowledge of the Bruins and the game of hockey. Step 3: What You'll Be Doing
You'll be appearing in approximately 40 games at the Garden during regular season. There, you may be distributing merchandise to people as they arrive, or in the stands between periods, performing dance routines, or cleaning up the ice. Beside your game performances, you are expected to be actively involved with the Boston Bruins Foundation which is a non-profit organization that contributes to various programs that enhance the lives of children in New England. Among the events is an annual blood drive and the Ice Girls are also partners with Boston Bruins Wives Organization.
