Overview
Tips
When applying the base layer, try using cotton balls for an even coat.
Do not use soap to remove the makeup as this will dry out your skin. Instead use a cleanser made for removing makeup.
Introduction
First off you will need to gather your materials.
Materials Needed: - Damp washcloth - White base makeup - Black makeup - Black makeup pencil - Black lipstick - Red lipstick (For Paul Stanley and Peter Criss faces only) - Silver makeup (For Ace Frehley face only) - Wig (optional) - Mirror
You will need approximately 15 minutes per face to apply makeup.
Step 1: Wash
Wash face with the damp washcloth to remove dirt and oils. This step is important to ensure that the makeup will stick to your face evenly.
Step 2: Apply Base
Take the white base makeup and apply it to the whole face. Try to do this as evenly as possible covering all parts of the face. Make sure to avoid the lips as you will be applying lipstick later on.
Step 3: Decisions, Decisions
Step 3: Decide which band member of KISS you want to be. You have four choices:
Gene Simmons: http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2007/11/simmons.jpg
Paul Stanley: http://blogs.creativeloafing.com/theclog/files/2009/07/0_61_stanley_paul.jpg
Peter Criss: http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_M9PqHUTcHhA/SMXi8tUR5tI/AAAAAAAADsg/bU-6_XWwMtg/s400/Peter_criss_solo_album_cover.jpg
Ace Frehley: http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_aEQ705ETNOY/Sa1jFnzIpSI/AAAAAAAAAbI/iJrYS9GzH6w/s320/Ace.jpg
Step 4: Details
Step 4: Each band member has their own specific look with details. Follow the below from your choice in Step 3.
Gene Simmons: First draw an exaggerated widows peak from the top of the forehead with the black makeup pencil. Fill in this area with black makeup. Next, draw two vertical lines down the length of the nose. Complete these with three upward spikes above the eyes radiating inwards towards the widows peak. After that draw two downward spikes angled towards the mouth. Complete this region with a single horizontal spike that radiates outward and upward from the outer edge of the eye. Finally fill in this region with black makeup.
Paul Stanley: Draw a large five pointed star over the right eye with the black makeup pencil. The tips of the star should end at the right temple, the top of the forehead, the crown of the nose, the tip of the nose, and the right cheekbone. Fill in the star outline with black makeup. Finish with red lipstick.
Peter Criss: With the black makeup pencil, draw a large rectangle with one curved corner (the top right) over each eye. Fill in this region with the black makeup. Next make a stripe around the tip of the nose. Fill this in as well. Next make the whiskers by drawing black stripes from the nose radiating towards the ears. The lower whiskers should be connected with a thin line that terminates between the nostrils. Finish with red lipstick.
Ace Frehley: Draw two long black lines from the edge of the forehead down to the tip of the nose with the black makeup pencil. Make three spikes above each eye and three spikes below each eye. Fill in this region with silver makeup. Complete with a silver stripe across the bridge of the nose and black lipstick.
After you finish Step 4 you're done!
