False eyelashes are a great way to add a glamorous touch to your look for a special event such as your wedding or prom. This guide provides instructions on how to apply fake eyelashes.

If there is any part of the false eyelash that extends beyond your natural lash, trim it off with a sharp pair of cosmetic scissors.

• Although most tubes of eyelash glue have contoured tips, you can get more even glue coverage by applying the glue with a toothpick.

1. Squeeze a bit of glue onto a spare piece of cardboard or paper
2. Dip the toothpick into the glue
3. Run the toothpick along the edge of the false eyelash, applying a thin, even layer

• Eyelash glue is white when it is wet and turns clear as it dries. When you see that the glue has begun to change from white to clear, it is time to apply the fake eyelashes.

1. Pick up the lashes with a pair of tweezers
2. Line up the false eyelashes with your natural lashes
