Step 1: Select a File
From the "My Documents" folder, choose a file you would like to use to annotate. Tape the file once to bring it up in GoodReader. The file can be a PDF of something you are reading and would like to keep notes on or simply a Word document that you can practice annotating on.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TIrBS8d_CCA
Step 2: Highlight the Text
When you have selected a file, tap and hold the first word in the beginning of the text you would like to edit. Once the word is highlighted in blue, drag the small dot at the beginning or the end of the word to cover any other words you would like highlighted. All types of annotation require you to select the text like this before applying the edit.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TIrBS8d_CCA
Step 3: Choose an Annotation Type
When the text has been selected, tap on the selected area to bring up the annotation bar. This bar includes "Copy", "Select All", "Highlight" and "Mark Up...". Tap the "Highlight" button to highlight the text in yellow. If you would like to underline or cross out text, tap the "Mark Up..." button and then either "Underline" or "Cross Out".http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TIrBS8d_CCA
