The 2001 comedy film How High is about two marijuana smoking underachievers and their academic success at Harvard University.

Method Man plays Silas, a marijuana grower, who after the death of his friend Ivory, mixes Ivory's ashes into one of his marijuana plants. Shortly before taking the THC test, the film's equivalent of the SAT college entrance test, Silas meets Jamal, played by Redman. The pair smoke part of the Ivory plant's crop to realize that smoking Ivory, makes a ghostly version of Ivory appear. After the initial shock of seeing his dead friend again, Silas and Jamal use Ivory to help them both earn a perfect score on their THC tests. The high test scores spur the duo to be recruited to several colleges. Silas and Jamal choose to attend Harvard University. College is life is not so easy for the boys however as the stash of the Ivory crop is dwindling down and the college dean, Dean Carl Cain, played by Obba Babatunde, is trying his hardest to find good cause to expel the troublemakers from the university.
