Houston Astros
The Houston Astros play in the National League's Central Division in Major League Baseball. In it's franchise history, the Astros have won two wild cards, 2 West Division Titles, 4 Central Division titles, and one National League Pennant. For a listing of teams, see Major League Baseball Teams.

2005 World Series
In 2005, the Astros reached their first ever World Series. The team relied on excellent pitching with Roy Oswalt, Andy Pettitte and Roger Clemens. The Team would win the Wild Card holding off the Philadelphia Phillies. The Astros playoff run would start against the Atlanta Braves. The National League Division series would last four games, with the Astros winning three games to one. In the National League Championship Series the Astros would face the St. Louis Cardinals. The series would be marked by the game winning home run by Albert Pujols off Astros closer Brad Lidge, the Astros would eventually win Game Seven, leading them to the Astros first ever World Series. But the team would be swept in four straight games by the red-hot Chicago White Sox making the Astros first World Series a short one.
