House of Saddam is an HBO and BBC mini-series based on the reign and downfall of Saddam Hussein as the President of Iraq.

Synopsis
The series begins with Saddam Hussein's rise and gaining of control in Iraq in 1979. The story details the consequences of his need for political power and his bloodthirsty ambition to make a mark on history. Once in control, Hussein rules Iraq with fear and aggression. He also takes advantage of his power by living a lavish lifestyle, which includes taking several wives. Hussein rules Iraq for 25 years, overcoming obstacles within Iraq and pressures from the international community to step down. He eventually loses his power and grip on reality while fighting off unstoppable forces calling for the end of his dictatorship. -
