Career
Taylor moved to Chicago in 1942 when he was 20 years old. He was virtually unknown outside of Chicago for years until Bruce Iglauer signed Taylor to his label, Alligator Records, in 1971.
Taylor would eventually record three albums for Alligator Records with his band, Brewer Phillips, second guitar, and Ted Harvey, drums, known as the the HouseRockers.
Taylor died of cancer in 1975.
