Hotmail users reported a service outage on the morning of September 3, 2009.
A previous outage occurred on February 26, 2008, with some users reported being unable to sign in, others could not access the MSN Hotmail home page at all. The official network status page continued to display the message "The service is available; there are no known network issues at this time.", despite user reports to the contrary.
