Hot Sauce

Hot Sauces are used to add spice to a variety of foods, including Mexican dishes, eggs, salads, burgers, or anything that could use a spicier flavor. The only requirement of a hot sauce is that it includes chili peppers, which contain capsaicin, the chemical that makes food spicy.

There are many variations to making hot sauce but the all share these common ingredients.

  2. Vinegar
  3. Salt
  4. Garlic

Hot Sauce Nutritional Information

Hot sauce's major nutritional ingredient is the chili peppers it contains. Chili peppers are good sources of vitamin A, vitamin C, potassium, manganese, vitamin K, and vitamin B6. Since most people don't consume large amounts of hot sauce, their overall nutrient contribution to the diet is small.
