Horse Sushi refers to the eating of raw horse meat. With a tuna shortage in Japan that started during the summer of 2007, some sushi chefs considered resorting to using raw venison or horse meat in their sushi to replace it. In some other countries, such as Iceland, horse meat is eaten regularly.
