Early Career
- Raised in Chicago, Sanz began his career performing in various local theaters. He joined the cast of SNL in 1998, becoming the first ever Latino cast member. Sanz performed impressions of Elton John, Ozzy Osbourne, and Rosie O'Donnell. He also filled in for Tina Fey on Weekend Update when she was on maternity leave in 2005. Sanz was dropped from the show in September 2006, but made two guest appearances in 2007.
