Hope Davis is an American film, television, and stage actress who made her debut in the 1990 film Flatliners alongside Julia Roberts and Kiefer Sutherland. After several minor roles in big budget films, she began to pursue larger roles in independent films such as The Daytrippers, Next Stop Wonderland, and The Myth of Fingerprints. Hope Davis was born on March 23, 1964, in Englewood, New Jersey, one of three daughters born to William and Joan Davis. Her interest in performing began at an early age, though she pursued a degree in cognitive science at Vassar College, intending to follow a career in brain research.
