Plot Summary
Jack Singer (Nicolas Cage) has finally agreed to marry his girlfriend Betsy, so the two head off to Las Vegas to tie the knot. After losing a poker game, Jack finds himself severely indebted to professional gambler Tommy Korman (James Caan). After much cajoling, Jack and Betsy agree that Betsy will spend the weekend with Tommy as payment for the $65,000 that Jack owes him. Tommy takes Betsy to Hawaii, where she finds herself increasingly charmed by his relentless advances. Meanwhile, desperate to get his fiancee back, Jack embarks on a whirlwind journey across the United States.
