Honda Pilot

The Honda Pilot is a three row mid-sized sports utility vehicle manufactured by Honda and shares its platform with the Acura MDX. It is larger than Honda's second SUV, the CR-V. The Pilot has been very popular since its creation in 2003, winning many prestigious awards, and selling over 100,000 units in 2004 alone.

The Honda Pilot was completely redesigned for the 2009 model year and features standard front-wheel-drive and optional all-wheel-drive.

Reviews:

  • "The 2009 Honda Pilot looks tougher than its predecessor and offers more room for third-row passengers, but the stereo and climate controls are less than intuitive, and some interior plastics feel cheap."—EdmundsEdmunds: 2009 Honda Pilot Review
  • "The 2009 Honda Pilot is an evolution of the first generation. Much like Honda's Odyssey minivan it offers plenty of cargo and people versatility in an efficient package, without the negatives many apply to minivans, and with the additional confidence of all-wheel drive and better towing performance."—JB car pagesJB car pages: 2009 Honda Pilot Review
  • "Behind the wheel the new car is better in just about every way. Gone from the steering is the slight dead spot on-center, and the ride has been stiffened appropriately, getting rid of the previous car’s somewhat mushy-soft behavior."—Car and DriverCar and Driver: 2009 Honda Pilot - Short Take Road Test
